PSL3 Opening Ceremony | Sultans to take on Zalmi in the PSL opener

The newcomers Multan Sultans will their first game on the day of the PSL3 opening ceremony. Multan Sultans will take on the defending champions Peshawar Zalmi 22nd Feb. PSL3 will take place from 22nd February to 25th March 2018. The six teams will play each other twice in the group stage.

Four venues are announced to host Pakistan Super League third edition. All the group stage matches and two of the playoffs will be played at Dubai and Sharjah cricket stadiums. While Lahore (Gaddafi Cricket Stadium) will host other two playoffs. Followed by the historic final at Karachi (National Cricket Stadium, Karachi).

The PSL3 opening ceremony will take its place on February 22, 2018. On the same day, Multan Sultans will start their campaign playing their debut game against Peshawar Zalmi. Followed by a doubleheader on the very next day. The event will continue for a month. There will be 21 group stage matches, 3 playoffs, and followed by a Grand Final in Karachi.

Pakistan Cricket Board wants to organize the last three games of PSL3 in Pakistan after the eventful final of PSL 2017 in Lahore.

Efforts are underway to stage two Play-offs games in Lahore followed by what would be a historic PSL final in Karachi.”

Multan Sultan announced their squad for the Pakistan Super League 2018. Shoaib Malik appointed as the Multan Sultans Captain. Wasim Akram is the Team Director and with Tom Moody as the Multan Sultans Head Coach. The presence of Kumar Sangakkara and Kieron Pollard gives a good boost to the Multan Sultans squad 2018.

Both the teams will be playing against each other for the first time. people are expecting a cracker of the games at the PSL3 opening ceremony, as both the teams are capable of putting up an excellent fight on the day. Peshawar Zalmi has the advantage of becoming the Champions of Pakistan Super League 2017. But, Multan Sultans team has got all those powers to crunch down any opposition.
