Najam Sethi says half of the PSL 2019 will be played in Pakistan

The Pakistan Day (23rd March) had a special gift for the Pakistani people especially the cricket passionate people in the country. Najam Sethi the PSL chairman on the occasion of testing National Stadium Karachi preparations for the PSL3 final, announced that the 4th edition of Pakistan Super League i.e. PSL 2019 will have more than half of the matches will be played in Pakistan.

You should trust in me. I do what I say. Have finished one good news and now I’m giving the second one”.

The PCB chairman said he was willing to hold double weekend matches next year, explaining that there will be games in UAE on Thursday and Friday and in Pakistan on Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. Najam Sethi also said that Lahore and Karachi have got the green signals in terms of hosting PSL 2019 matches. Now, our next goal is to build and make the stadium in Peshawar and Islamabad crowd full.

As we know, Lahore has successfully hosted the PSL2 final the last year and two eliminators of PSL3. And the PSL3 final between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi adds some lovely icing on the cake as it is going to be the first branded match after 9 years at that venue.

Moreover, as far as the revival of international cricket in Pakistan, West Indies is coming to play three T20I on 1st, 2nd and 4th of April. Once again National Stadium is the host for this historic tour. Sethi also announced that this is going to be the last tour for this year of any team to Pakistan.
