Multan Sultans ownership is under a great pump these days. As we know the Multan Sultans franchise is currently owned by the Schon Property. But due to the Multan Sultans performance in the later segment of PSL3 made Nasir Schon and his company to give it up. Also, the League profit concerns between the franchises lead them to this decision. In the current scenario, Gohar Abbas and Shiekh Ayyub are the strong candidates to own Multan Sultans in the future.

Gohar Abbas who is the currently the owner of Channel 24 News in Pakistan is a strong candidate of Multan Sultans ownership. The fact that he is the stakeholder makes him prominent in the short-list. He also the Lake City owner based in Pakistan.
Ayyub Sheikh
In a similar fashion, the owner of Royal Palm company, Ayyub Sheikh is not too far behind the cause. He is also very keen in winning the Multan Sultans ownership battle.
On the Other hand, the current Multan Sultans owner i.e. Nasir Schon is likely to leave the Multan Sultans ownership in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League. What Happened to Multan Sultans PSL3
We all know that the Multan Sultans were the latest addition in the Pakistan Super League 3rd edition. The tournament proved to be the horrible nightmare for the newcomers after the tournament was moved to Sharjah. The tournament started off in style for Multan Sultans when they beat the defending champions Peshawar Zalmi in the Inaugural match of PSL3 by 7 wickets. Against Lahore Qalandars in the 2nd game, they managed to put a one-sided match (won by 43 runs) courtesy of Imran Tahir and Junaid Khan’s destructive spells. However, the winning combo was disturbed when Multan Sultans was beaten by Islamabad United in defending 114 on the board.
As the tournamentĀ moved to Sharjah, Multan Sultans first battle against Karachi Kings was washed out due to the heavy rain. In the very next game, Multan Sultans beat Quetta Gladiators comfortably by 9 wickets in the lowest run chase of 105. This total was due to the Imran Tahir’s historic hat-trick as the Gladiators lost their 5 wickets for just 1 run. Junaid Khan’s against Lahore Qalandars and Imran Tahir’s against Quetta Gladiators were the rare hat-tricks in the PSL 2018.
Returning to Dubai, Multan Sultans played their 2nd game against Peshawar of the season and put together the highest total of the PSL season3 that far (183) powered by Sohaib Maqsood’s ballisticĀ knock of 85* (42 balls). In the later game against Quetta Gladiators, Sultans lost by 2 wickets in the defense of 152 runs. The defense started off quite nicely but Hassan Khan’s last six overlooked all the efforts. That match said Multan Sultan goodbye for the season.
