Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators Match 17 psl3 – The thrilling games got the dramatic finishing it deserved when Hasan Khan smashed Pollard for the winning six. Multan sultan’s bowlers were looking ahead to conceal the Gladiator’s innings under 152, despite at the end. Umar Gul’s terrific bowling spell of 6 scalps made Quetta’s batsmen think about the run chase. But that was in vain when the teenager Hasan Khan hit a smashing six to provide Gladiators a much winning victory.
Asked to bat first, Multan Sultans managed to put up a decent total on the board after losing Sangakkara off the first ball. But they lost the discipline in the death overs allowing Multan Sultans to score 57 runs in the last five overs.
When Quetta came out to chase, they were looking on the track until Umar Gul provided two break-throughs in a short interval of time. Out of form, Pietersen’s early dismissal brought Multan in the hunt. But Rossouw and Ramiz handled the battle and gave Gladiators a real chance to clinch down the in-form Multan Sultans. Malik XI was on the verge of defeat but Gul’s another two wickets brought a twist in the tail. All it took Hasan Khan’s winning six to proved Viv Richards the ever best birthday present.
Man of the Match:
Who would have thought that Umar Gul will make a come back in this way? Right arm fast bowler was out cricket for a very long time, but he broke the shackles in the last game. Gul destroyed the Gladiator’s batting line-up in no time. Picking up 6 for just 24 runs, he was the strong candidate for man of the match.
