Muhammad Irfan to Join Multan Sultans in PSL3
The tallest cricket in the history of cricket (Muhammad Irfan) played his first two PSL season for Islamabad United. But according to Pakistan Super League rules and regulations he was released by the franchise, therefore, Multan Sultans bought him in the gold category.
7 feet tall fast bowler Muhammad Irfan playing for Islamabad United picked up 14 wickets in the 14 matches helping the franchise becoming the champions of the inaugural season of HBL PSL(Pakistan Super League), and reaching the eliminators in the 2nd edition.
Muhammad Irfan is very notable for his height and pace. His height of 7’1” makes him the tallest player to play the First class cricket and the Internation cricket. He played 20 T20I matches for his country and picked up 15 wickets with the economy of 7.75 runs per over.
He was selected by the Indian Premier League ( IPL ) to represent Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2011 season, even before making his international debut. The fact about his selection was that Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram recommended him to be added to the KKR squad. His request was then to be approved by the BCCI and PCB. He couldn’t play that league because of the Pakistan- India cricket affairs.
