Imran Tahir is ecstatic to play for Multan Sultans in PSL 2018
Multan Sultans went for Imran Tahir in the PSL draft took place on Sunday as their platinum pick. Multan Sultans already had picked some players like Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard and Kumar Sangakkara in the pre-draft picks. One thing that was Sultans missing was the presence of a genuine spinner who could lift up their bowling attack and they picked Imran Tahir to fulfill that slot.
Tahir who was born in Lahore, Pakistan played for Pakistan Under- 19 team before he migrated to South Africa. Before going to the Rainbow nation, Tahir also played for Middlesex but couldn’t enjoy much of the success… Therefore, he decided to play domestic cricket, he struggled in domestic cricket for five years until he was eligible for the South African team.
Imran Tahir is very much ecstatic regarding Multan Sultans and impatient to get underway. He expressed his feelings on Twitter where he wrote:
I’m very ecstatic to be part of @PSLt20 with @Multan Sultans in arguably one of the most competitive leagues in the World. Cant’ t wait to begin. #issVaarisaddiVari.
Tahir holds the record of playing for the most number of teams around the world which are round about 27. He also played in IPL for Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiants. He played for Daredevils from 2014-2016 and picked up 29 wickets in 20 matches. Playing for Pune in 2017 he picked up 18 wickets out of 12 matches.
